Lightning: small craft lights.

If You look at a spaceship, aircraft, boats, etc, You'll see a lot of small lights on it. To put them on a 3d modell is a piece of cake, but to constrain it so it doesnt light up Your scene as a nuclear explosion, the easiest way to this is to turn on shadow casting. This will severly damaging Your rendering time. But if You use the controlled fallof flag in the light attribute, You can control where the light will no longer affect anything. This is done by scaling the axis "shift scale" the lenght of the axis is where the light will have effect.
